FAQs

1: How much should a cup of lemonade cost?

2: Should I accept personal checks?

3: Can I ask a local business to donate supplies?

4: I'd like to help out, but would prefer not to host a lemonade stand. Are there other ways I can make a difference?

1: How much should a cup of lemonade cost?
Rather than set a specific price for a cup of lemonade, ask for a contribution of any amount. This will increase the amount of money that most people will donate as well as minimize the need to make change. It also lets people approach the stand who do not have money to learn more about Alex's Lemonade Stand and childhood cancer.

2: Should I accept personal checks?
Check donations are certainly welcome. Just have the contributor make the check payable to Alex's Lemonade Stand. Send the checks received along with a check or money order for the entire amount of money raised to:

3: Can I ask a local business to donate supplies?
Absolutely. Area businesses are often eager to help out and willing to provide product donations, such as cups or lemonade for charitable events.

4: I'd like to help out, but would prefer not to host a lemonade stand. Are there other ways I can make a difference?
Don't feel restricted by the need to create a lemonade stand. There are other fundraising ideas that you could dream up and your contributions are much appreciated. Here are some ideas to get you thinking:

- Host a car wash
- Host a food eating contest
- Sponsor a race to the top of a famous landmark in your area like the Sears Tower in Chicago or on a more modest scale a race up the bleachers at the local college stadium
- Stage a walkathon, marathon or bicycle race
